The Good News
The Kingdom of God is among us. You can become part of it. What is good about this? The kingdom of God is an eternal kingdom. You will not die there. Even though the body will die on this earth you will be raised from the dead. Then you will live in a house Jesus is preparing for you. All we see right now is transitory. It will end. The Kingdom of God will not end. It will continue after the end of the world.
Allow me to explain this. Your mind exists whether you have all parts of your body or not. If a soldier loses a leg or an arm his spirit still remains with him. The creation of God consists of a temporal part and an eternal part. The elements of the visible world are temporal. Your soul, God and other things are eternal.
The good news is that the Kingdom of God, which is eternal, has already begun and you can join it. In the visible world the Kingdom of God consists of souls who live there. Souls live in bodies. The bodies, however are not changed to an immortal state yet. They are still temporary and decay. The promise of God is that all his children will get a new immortal body and live in an everlasting world that will come.
How can we know that this is true and that the eternal Kingdom of God has started and is among us?
Jesus was approved or endorsed by God through many miracles and fulfilled prophecies. After Jesus died God raised him from the dead. Jesus is the Word of God, which we are supposed to listen to. He is the truth. Jesus was raised from the dead on the third day after he was killed on the cross. Jesus was with the Father in Heaven and he was sent by God to tell us about the Good News of the Kingdom which is now among us. When Jesus began preaching he said that people should repent because the Kingdom of God is at hand. This was about 2000 years ago. The Kingdom has grown ever since. Now it can be found all around the world.
In case your are not part of the Kingdom, how can you enter the Kingdom of Heaven?
Jesus says that unless you receive the Kingdom of God like a child you cannot enter. A childlike faith is needed. Faith in what? Faith in the Good News. You cannot enter by mere learning or by trying to be a good man. You must be born again. What does being born again mean? If you are born of a woman you get the very body you have now. You are subjected to this temporary world. Your body will start to die once you have reached a certain age. If you want to be part of the everlasting Kingdom of God you must be born of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit of God. How can you be born of the Spirit? If you believe the Words of the Good News Jesus preached and you repent and become obedient to Jesus you will be born of the Spirit. What is the core message of this Good News? Jesus died for your sins on the cross and if you turn away from your godless life and become a student of Jesus and believe him your sins will be forgiven. God raised Jesus from the dead on the third day and so accepted his sacrifice of his body for you. With the forgiveness of sins you receive eternal life. The reason why humans must die is because of their sins. The penalty of sin is death. But when your sins are forgiven you do not die. Why do Jesus and God forgive your sins? Because of God's grace. God is gracious and merciful.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” John 3:16-21
